Meet Mackenzie

As an intern pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands, I am passionate about helping clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to gain insight into their challenges and develop strategies for positive change.

I believe in the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients to foster trust and openness. My goal is to provide unconditional positive regard, empathy, compassion, and patience, and I strive to create a non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, comfortable, and supported in their journey toward growth and self-discovery.

I emphasize self-awareness and strengths, and I am passionate about helping clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to gain insight into their challenges and develop strategies for positive change. I believe every individual has the capacity for growth and resilience, and I am committed to helping my clients tap into their inner strengths and resources.

My focuses include, but are not limited to, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, maternal mental health, trauma, and depressive disorders. I work with adolescents and young adults, providing therapy and support to help navigate the challenges faced during different stages of life. I assist with developing coping skills, improving communication and problem-solving abilities, and building self-confidence and self-esteem, as well as helping explore values, beliefs, and goals, and offer support in making healthy decisions for the future.
