My name is Tatyana, and I have a passion for helping others. I am an avid traveler, food enthusiast, and family woman. I grew up in Virginia Beach and moved to Richmond to attend Virginia Commonwealth University in 2012, obtaining my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. I graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in December 2022 and am currently a Resident in Counseling, pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and the Theta Chi Sigma chapter of Chi Sigma Iota.
I am a certified trauma professional (CTP) and aim to become an advanced grief specialist within the next two years. I believe when we can feel safe, seen, and heard, we can heal; this is the basis for all healthy relationships. My passions in this field include grief and loss, trauma, inner child work, the teenage experience, couples counseling, parenting, and aiding clients with reaching their truest potential. I have worked with anxiety, depression, grief, post-traumatic stress disorder, and bipolar disorder, to name a few. I enjoy working with ages 12+, individuals and couples, and I utilize a person-centered approach, incorporating other methods as needed.
