My name is Tatyana, and I have a passion for helping others. I am an avid traveler, food enthusiast, and family woman. I grew up in Virginia Beach and moved to Richmond to attend Virginia Commonwealth University in 2012, obtaining my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. I graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in December 2022 and am currently a Resident in Counseling, pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and the Theta Chi Sigma chapter of Chi Sigma Iota.
I am a certified trauma professional (CTP) and aim to become an advanced grief specialist within the next two years. I believe when we are able to feel safe, seen, and heard, we can heal. This is the basis for all healthy relationships, and my goal is to create a space for my clients to thrive based on this premise. With a trauma-informed approach, I understand so much shows up for us, including attachment and inner child wounds, grief, anxiety, depression, negative self-thoughts, and unhealthy coping skills.
My goal is to help you understand what you've been through and create a new way of living that helps you feel most in connection with yourself.
I ultimately love aiding clients with reaching their truest potential. I enjoy working with ages 13+, individuals, and couples, and I utilize a person-centered approach, incorporating other methods as needed. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
If you are ready to unlock your best self in a safe and courageous atmosphere, I would be honored to be part of your journey. Let's uncover your shadows, heal your wounds, and build the life you see for yourself together.
